About
The Church of St Joseph the Worker in Zemunik Gornji was built in 1977. During the Croatian War of Independence, on 4 January 1992, it was completely destroyed by mines. A new church was built in its place and consecrated on 27 April 2002 by Ivan Prenđa, Archbishop of Zadar, who was born in Zemunik Gornji. Inside are a stone altar and ambo, a stone base with a metal tabernacle, a statue of St Joseph the Worker, a wooden cross and the Stations of the Cross. Beside the church stands a bell tower with two bells.
